Ballerano Tied For Second At Three-Under

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Lorraine Ballerano shot three under-par in the first round of the Bryan National Collegiate on Friday and is tied for second place. She leads the NC State women's golf team, which is in seventh place out of 17 teams at eight-over, after the first 18 holes on the par 72 Bryan Park Golf Course.
Ballerano birdied four holes and only bogeyed one. Ashlee Dean is two-over after the first round and tied for 24th place while Nancy Mountcastle is four-over. Molly Birmingham is five-over and Lauren Harling competed for the Wolfpack as well.
Georgia and Duke are tied for the lead at four-under, while the Blue Devils' Elizabeth Janangelo is in first place individually at five-under. Competition is scheduled to resume Saturday with a second round of 18 holes and conclude with a final round on Sunday. Complete results and live scoring are available at www.golfstat.com.
