NC State Baseball Adds 14 Radio Broadcasts In February, March

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State baseball will be on the air a little early this season. Thanks to an arrangement announced this week by Wolfpack Sports Marketing, the NC State radio will network will begin broadcasting Wolfpack baseball games on February 18 vs. San Diego State. A total of 14 games has been added to the original schedule of 31 games, which was to begin on March 25. NC State baseball games will be aired on WKNC, which is at 88.1 FM, and also will be available on-line at gopack.com through the Yahoo subscription service.
Veteran minor league announcer Ken Tanner, who currently works on the broadcast staff with the Durham Bulls, will broadcast the additional 14 games. The Wolfpack's regular announcers, Gary Hahn and Tony Haynes, will take over the play-by-play duties once the college basketball season has ended.
Barring conflicts with women's basketball broadcasts, the following NC State baseball games have been added to the original schedule:
February 18 vs. San Diego State, 3 p.m.br>
February 19 vs. San Diego State, 2 p.m.
February 25 vs. The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., 4 p.m.
February 26 vs. East Carolina in Charleston, S.C., 11 a.m.
February 27 vs. West Virginia in Charleston, S.C., 11 a.m.
March 4 at Miami, 7 p.m.
March 5 at Miami, 7 p.m.
March 6 at Miami, 1 p.m.
March 11 vs. Maryland, 3 p.m.
March 12 vs. Maryland, 2 p.m.
March 13 vs. Maryland, 1 p.m.
March 18 at Georgia Tech, 7 p.m.
March 19 at Georgia Tech, 7 p.m.
March 20 at Georgia Tech, 1:30 p.m.
Beginning March 25, all games will be aired.
