NC State senior forward Levi Watkins will miss 4-6 weeks after suffering a sprained right medial collateral ligament during Tuesday afternoon's practice.
Watkins, a veteran of 90 games during his career, missed most of his freshman campaign after tearing his left ACL and undergoing reconstructive surgery.
The Rockville, Md., native has played in 18 games this season, averaging 13.3 minutes and 4.7 points. He has started a dozen games in 2004-05.
The Wolfpack has also been playing without the services of guard Cameron Bennerman for the last three games. Bennerman, a junior, has a sprained ligament in his elbow.
