RALEIGH, N.C. - After three weeks and five scrimmages, the 2006 NC State baseball team will put the finishing touches on fall practice beginning this weekend with the annual intrasquad world series.
The coaching staff will divide the team into two squads, which will play either a best-of-three or best-of-five series. Game times for the first three games of the series are 7 p.m. on Friday, 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday. The duration of the series will be determined by how much pitching still is available after the third game.
Admission to the public is free of charge.
If the series goes to five games, the fourth and fifth games will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the start times still to be determined. Check gopack.com for further updates, including recaps of each series game. Fans also should check gopack.com for future updates on baseball ticket information. Season ticket brochures will be mailed shortly, and tickets can be purchased on-line at gopack.com.
