NC State comes into action with a 1-1 record in dual bouts this season, having defeated Campbell 41-4 and lost to sixth-ranked Lehigh 36-3. The Wolfpack placed third at the Navy Classic.
Wolfpack head coach Carter Jordan will unveil a revamped lineup for the NC State Duals, thanks in large part to the strong early-season showing by sophomore 125-pounder Garrett Cummings, who is 8-2 and won the 125-pound championship at the Navy Classic. Sophomore Jeremy Hartrum, the starter at 125 a year ago, will move up to 133. Sophomore Jeff Breese, who started early last season at 133 before suffering a season-ending injury and has wrestled nine matches at that weight this season, will move to 141.
In addition, senior Alex Hernandez will take over at 149 pounds. Hernandez was set to redshirt this season, but has moved into the lineup with the departure of junior Chris DeLuca, who has left the team.
