NC State's 2005 football schedule includes six home games at Carter-Finley Stadium and a pair of Thursday night league contests that will be held back-to-back. Next fall's slate begins with a bang when the Wolfpack hosts the defending ACC champ Virginia Tech Sunday, Sept. 4. The Wolfpack was the only conference team to defeat the Hokies last season. NC State's non-conference slate features home games against Eastern Kentucky (9/17), Southern Mississippi (10/29) and Middle Tennessee State (11/19). On Thursday October 6, NC State will be in Atlanta for a nationally televised (ESPN) battle with Georgia Tech. The very next Thursday, the Wolfpack will be back on ESPN, this time at home versus Clemson.
