NC State's Engin Atsur and Ilian Evtimov were both named to the Academic All-ACC squad for the 2004-05 season, which was released today by the league office.
Atsur finished his freshman year with a 3.05 GPA in his business major. The Istanbul, Turkey native, who was spending his first year in the U.S., started 24 of 28 games for NC State last season, and was a first-team choice on the ACC's All-Freshman team as well.
Evtimov posted a 3.205 GPA in communications to win the second academic all-conference honor of his career. He started 22 games and averaged 9.8 points last season, leading the team with an .876 free throw percentage.
NC State has placed two players on the league's all-academic squad in two of the last three years.
