Men's Basketball Tickets Applications Ready To Be Mailed

RALEIGH, N.C. - Season-ticket applications for the upcoming men's basketball season will be mailed beginning September 8. The revised priority deadline for ticket applications to be returned to the NC State ticket office is now October 1. The Wolfpack, coming off its third consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament, will play an attractive home schedule in 2004-05, including games against eight Atlantic Coast Conference opponents -- all but Clemson and Miami -- and non-conference dates against Purdue, West Virginia, Manhattan, Louisiana-Lafayette and Campbell. In addition, the Wolfpack will host the Black Coaches Association Tournament at the RBC Center from November 17-19. The field for the BCA Tournament includes Sienna, Pepperdine, New Orleans (coached by former Wolfpack standout Monte Towe), Oregon State, Fairleigh-Dickinson, Elon and Coppin State in addition to NC State. Anticipation should be great for the upcoming season. Wolfpack head coach Herb Sendek's squad figures to contend for national honors once again, with a talented and experienced nucleus returning, augmented by a strong recruiting class. Reigning ACC Player of the Year Julius Hodge returns for his senior season, along with returning starters Engin Atsur and Ilian Evtimov. Top reserves Levi Watkins and Cameron Bennerman round out an experience and talented returning nucleus for the Pack. Those returnees will be joined by junior point guard Tony Bethel, who sat out last year after transferring from Georgetown, but practiced with the team all season. Heralded freshmen Andrew Brackman, Gavin Grant and Cedric Simmons round out a talented squad for the Wolfpack.
