On the first practice in pads... "We got some hitting in if you call it that. Good practice? I don't think so. A lot of mistakes on both sides. We had a good go at it on the goalline. But hey, you know, it was the first day of hitting. We really controlled it. We've got a long way to go." Was the intensity level good? "At times. At times the intensity level is real good and then at other times it's so-so. Too many missed assignments right now." Any update on Josh Brown? "No, not at all. I told him we would talk. We'll know by Sunday what his decision will be (whether to rejoin the team or not). I think he'll be back to be honest with you. I hope he'll be back because he's a big part of this team. He's a neat kid. Two years ago he played really well and last year he got hurt. If he would have been healthy last year when T.A. got hurt it really would have been a big plus. He's a good back. He's hard to tackle and hard to see." How bad would the weather have to be to affect your scrimmage plans on Saturday? "It sounds like the weather is going to be a big factor. It sounds like tomorrow we can maybe work around it because it's just one practice tomorrow. Then Saturday, if we can get the kicking scrimmage in, we'll do that. If it's really bad, we may come back on Sunday and have the scrimmage. We'll just have to wait and see."
