ESPN's Dick Vitale, it seems, has a nickname for just about everything and everyone. There's the 'All-Airport Team' and the 'Diaper Dandies.' And who can forget about his "PTPrs (Prime Time Performers)? Dean Smith was 'Michelangelo' and Bob Knight 'The General.' But perhaps the highest honor a college basketball player can receive from 'Dickie V' is to land a spot on his 'All-Rolls-Royce Team.' What is the 'All-Rolls-Royce Team?' It's just a fancy way of listing the best college hoops players in the land. And this summer, NC State's Julius Hodge has a spot in Vitale's Rolls.
After winning ACC Player of the Year honors last season, the 6-6 Hodge is back for his senior year. In 2003-04, he was the only ACC player to rank in the top 10 of five different statistical categories, including scoring (18.2 pg), rebounding (6.4) and free throw percentage (.828).
