Hello Wolfpack Nation,
I got back home on the 30th of June. When I got home my family along with Will Roach were waiting on me. It took around 16 hours. Was long but it was wonderful to see my parents when I got home. I haven't been home for 11 months.
We went out to eat kebabs and fish which I didn't get much chance to eat in Raleigh. Turkish cuisine is very versatile and so tasty. Ask Will Roach for details and American point of view.
Will and my brother Emre picked me up at the airport. Will was here a day earlier than me, he got his ticket a day earlier I dont know why. We hung out at home in Istanbul for 5 days. I showed Will around mostly historical places, palaces, mosques, churches and the Bosphorus and more. We had family reunions almost every night to eat dinner and/or hang out. I introduced many friends of mine to Will. They got along very well.
When it comes to staying in shape, we ran in the mornings in the morning along the sea side and exercised. Late afternoons we played pick up games with old teammates of mine and Emre's friends. We had a good time.
Then we went to the south Turkey. We stayed in a town called Bodrum, where many of my friends were also in town. We enjoyed the Mediterenean very much. We exercised in a small fitness center and swam a lot. Since I had many basketball playing friends down there we had couple fun games in while the sun was going down.
We had great time over there and now we are back to Istanbul. Will took off to Greece to visit the Europe. And I am getting ready for the National Team which starts 25th. We are gonna play New Zealand and the USA teams twice.
I am going to have to leave the camp early because school is starting and will meet the Wolfpack family after a short summer break. I'll be back in Raleigh on the 16th of August. Since I'll be in camp I don't know how often I can write or even get a chance to write because we practice twice a day and lift weights and more...
Go Wolfpack
Love
