Evtimov to Undergo Surgery

Raleigh, N.C. - Wolfpack Forward/center Ilian Evtimov will undergo arthrscopic knee surgery on Thursday afternoon to repair a torn lateral meniscus. The rising redshirt junior hyperextended his right knee while playing a pickup game earlier this week and an MRI showed the cartilage damage. Dr. Bob Wyker will perform the procedure to remove the tear.

Evtimov, who sat out the 2002-03 campaign after tearing the ACL in his left knee, is expected to be back in plenty of time for preseason practice.
