
Dean Shoots One Over In Second Round

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. - The NC State women's golf team shaved 11 strokes off its first round score to move into 15th place at the Bryan National Collegiate at the par 72, 6074-yard Bryan National Golf Club. The Wolfpack is 47 strokes over par among an elite field of 18 teams that includes 15 top 50 teams, including 12 squads ranked in the top 25. Ashlee Dean carded a one-over-par score of 73 to move into a tie for 47th place overall and now leads the Pack.
Courtney Pomeranz shaved six strokes off her first round score to fire a 75 in the second round and is tied for 59th overall. Briana Vega shot seven over in the second round to slip into a tie for 64th. Colby Cobb also shot seven over in the second round, while Lorraine Ballerano came in eight over in the second round and is tied for 77th.
Duke remains in the lead after two rounds with a five-under-par score and Blue Devils' Brittany Lang is tied for the individual lead with May Wood from Vanderbilt at four-under.

The NC State JV women's golf team is tied for sixth place at the Spider Spring Invitational. The 16-team tournament is being played at the par 72, 5898-yard Hunting Hawk Golf Club in Glen Allen, Va., and the Wolfpack is 46-over-par after the second round.
Molly Birmingham shot one-under par in the second round and is in third place overall with a three-over-par total. Leslie Stubblefield is tied for 19th with an 11-over-par total. Nancy Mountcastle shot seven over in the second round and is in 30th place. Sarah Davis shaved six strokes off her first round score and is now tied for 43rd place along with Margaux Hennessey.
UNC Wilmington leads the tournament after two rounds and the Seahawks' Amelie Farrah remains in front with a one-under total of 143.
