Wolfpack Ranked in Latest ITA Rankings

RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State women's tennis team have entered the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rankings at No. 75. after a strong 4-2 start. Head coach Hans Olsen played No. 14 VCU to the wire before falling 4-3, and soundly defeated the No. 67 Virginia Tech Hokies, 6-1. Senior co-captain Jennifer Jassawalla is 6-0 in singles to lead NC State, while sophomore Nandita Chandrasekar is 5-1, including a perfect 3-0 streak in her last three matches.
"Our team has been working hard all season, and we have been very hungry," coach Olsen said. "We are excited about our upcoming match with Clemson, and will be looking to make the most of the opportunities as they arise."
As a team, NC State is 26-10 in singles, and 11-7 in doubles, with Chandrasekar and Barbara Orlay leading the way at No. 1 with a 4-2 mark.
NC State will head south to face ACC rivals Clemson (March 6, 11 am) and Georgia Tech (March 7, 2 pm) on the road.
