Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2003 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor gymnast Amanda Jones and football's A.J. Booth.
Amanda Jones is a freshman on the NC State Women's Gymnastics team. She came to State from her native Jacksonville, Florida. The Engineering major has compiled a most impressive 3.76 Total Grade Point Average.
Redshirt freshman A.J. Booth spends his fall semesters playing linebacker on the NC State Football team. The hometown boy from Raleigh, North Carolina has also excelled in the classroom. A.J. has a 3.91 Total Grade Point Average in his Computer Engineering major. He was also a member of the NC State Dean's List during the fall semester of 2003.
Congratulations to both Amanda and A.J. and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
