RALEIGH, N.C. - Winter weather claimed the NC State vs. William & Mary baseball game for the second day in a row. The Wolfpack and Tribe, originally set for Tuesday, February 17 at Doak Field, was moved back to Wednesday because of the winter weather in the area, and now has been postponed indefinitely. Attempts to reschedule are ongoing.
In other Wolfpack baseball news, senior righthanded pitcher Vern Sterry was named the Atlantic Coast Conference's co-Pitcher of the Week for the week that ended on February 15. Sterry started on Saturday, February 14 against Campbell and threw six innings of shutout baseball. He allowed two hits, walked none and struck out four. Campbell did not advance a runner into scoring position against Sterry, who faced just two batters over the minimum.
