NC State, which will get in its final tune-up for the regular season when it hosts St. Augustine in an exhibition game at the RBC Center Tuesday night, is ranked 19th in the Associated Press Preseason College Basketball Poll. The Wolfpack is also ranked No. 19 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. Getting 18 points from Julius Hodge and Tony Bethel last Wednesday, NC State opened exhibition play with an 82-46 victory over Fayetteville State. The Pack will begin the regular season against New Orleans in the first round of the BCA Invitational at the RBC Center on Wednesday, November 17th.
NC State should regain the services of starting forward/center Ilian Evtimov in the near future. The redshirt junior, who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery about a month ago, returned to practice over the weekend, although it's not known if he'll see any action on Tuesday.
The Wolfpack Radio Network will provide live coverage of Tuesday's exhibition tilt beginning with the 7:00 p.m. pregame show.
NC State is one of six ACC teams in the A.P. Preseason Poll.
