Conaty and Derrey Tie For 2nd

SALISBURY, N.C. - Dawn-Marie Conaty shot one-under par in the final round of the Patsy Rendleman Women's Invitational to tie teammate Stephanie Derrey for second place. The freshmen led NC State with three-over scores. The Wolfpack placed all six golfers in the top 10 at the JV event played at the par 72, 5,900-yard Country Club of Salisbury.
Sarah Davis finished fourth at six-over and Leslie Stubblefield placed fifth with a seven-over total. Jessica Vincent improved seven strokes from the first round to capture an eighth place finish at 11-over and Lauren Harling tied for 10th with plus-13.
Paige Haverty from the host team, Catawba, was the individual medalist after firing a three-under 69 in the final round to finish even-par. Complete results from the Patsy Rendleman Invitational are posted at www.golfstat.com. The 23rd-ranked NC State varsity squad will be in action Oct. 29-31 at the ACC/SEC Challenge in Destin, Fla.
