Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2003 semester 210 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 107 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor cross country's Ginger Wheeler and football's Eric Taylor.
Ginger Wheeler is a veteran of the NC State Women's Cross Country team. The sophomore from Winston-Salem, North Carolina has compiled a 3.82 Total Grade Point Average in her Materials Engineering major. She's also been named to the ACC Honor Roll and has been on the Dean's List every semester she's attended NC State.
Eric Taylor is a reshirt freshman on the NC State Football team. Since coming to campus from his native Goldston, North Carolina, Eric has put up impressive numbers in the classroom. He carries a 3.87 Total Grade Point Average in Computer Engineering. Eric's also been on the Dean's List in seven of his eight semesters on campus and has also been named to the ACC Honor Roll.
Congratulations to both Ginger and Eric and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
