Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2003 semester 210 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 107 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor diver Ashley Lamberton and wrestling's Eric Heath.
Ashley Lamberton |
Sophomore Ashley Lamberton is a standout diver on the NC State Women's Swimming team. Ashley comes to State from Phoenix, Arizona. Besides putting up great scores on the board, she's also managed to compile a 3.90 Total Grade Point Average. The First Year College major has also been named to the ACC Honor Roll and has been on the NC State Dean's list twice.
Eric Heath |
Eric Heath is a redshirt sophomore on the NC State Wrestling Team. The former state champion from Seneca, South Carolina scores both on the mat and in the classroom. Eric has compiled a 3.70 Total Grade Point Average in Business. He's also been on the NC State Dean's List three of his four semesters on campus and was named to the ACC Honor Roll as well.
Congratulations to both Ashley and Eric and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
