PACK PARADE: Don't miss the best Homecoming Parade in years. The fun begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, with a parade route along Cates Avenue (in the heart of the NC State campus). Catch Mr. and Mrs. Wuf, the NC State Marching Band, the NC State Cheeleaders and Dance Team, Chancellor Marye Anne Fox, Leader of the Pack finalists, Student Body President Tony Caravano, Miss Teen North Carolina, Wool E. Bull (Durham Bulls), the Chick-Fil-A Cow, Muddy the Mudcat, Stormy the Ice Hog (Carolina Hurricanes), the Raleigh Fire Department, Harley Davidson owners and much more. Student groups will design their parade entries around the theme: "Chuck the Red Raiders." These entries are sure to show ingenuity and humor. Bring the family and catch the spirit that's rampant on campus this fall! The NC State Homecoming Parade is brought to you by the NC State Student Homecoming Committee.
PACK HOWL PEP RALLY AND CONCERT: After the parade, it's time to turn that Wolfpack spirit a notch higher. On lower Miller Field (intramural field), alumni and students can enjoy a spirit-raising pep rally followed by a concert featuring Lonestar, one of the top country/pop bands in America. Lonestar has hit the charts with nine No. 1 songs, including "Amazed" which was voted as the top love song of all time by America Online subscribers. Members of the Alumni Association and Wolfpack Club can enjoy all the fun for the reduced price of $10 per person. To order your e-tickets, visit www.ncstatealumni.com/homecoming. Click on Pack Howl concert. Reynolds Coliseum will be the rain site for the pep rally and concert. No alcohol is allowed at either site. Concessions will be available. Bring a blanket (no chairs) to enjoy the outside venue. Large bags and backpacks will not be allowed inside the gates. Order today, tickets are limited. Alumni are can park in the Reynolds Coliseum or Dan Allen parking decks. Gates for the concert open at 7 p.m. and are located at entrances off Dan Allen Drive and the Carmichael Gym parking lot. The pep rally and concert are brought to you by the NC State Alumni Association, the Union Activities Board, NC State Student Government, NC State Athletics, the NC State Visa Card, the Wolfpack Club and University Dining.
FAN ZONE FUN FOR HOMECOMING: On game day at Carter-Finley Stadium, drop by the Wolfpack Fan Zone, located in front of the RBC Center. It's the pregame party where there's always a song in the air from a live band. For Homecoming, dance to the time-honored tunes of The Embers. Have your painted with a "Block S" to show your team spirit. Decide if you're ready to challenge Philip Rivers for his quarterback position by checking your accuracy with the pigskin at Tuffy Toss. And gather up giveaways from a variety of vendors. Come to the Fan Zone for all your pregame fun!
