Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2003 semester 210 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 107 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor volleyball's Amy Cochran and football's Robby Ritcher.
Amy Cochran |
Amy Cochran made the transition from high school to college look easy. The sophomore from Fort Lauderdale, Florida was an immediate contributor to the NC State women's volleyball team. Furthermore, this English major had a stellar freshman year in the classroom. Amy achieved a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average. She also made the ACC Honor Roll and was named to the NC State Dean's List each semester.
Robby Ritcher |
Robby Ritcher is a redshirt freshman on the NC State football team. The native of Blythewood, South Carolina will compete for the Wolfpack's punting job. In the classroom, the Engineering major compiled a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average his freshman year. Robby also made the ACC Honor Roll and was on the NC State Dean's list each semester.
Congratulations to both Amy and Robby and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
