Without even playing a game, NC State has moved up one spot in the second ESPN/USA Today college football poll of the season. Ranked 14th in the initial preseason top 25, the Wolfpack traded places with Maryland to grab the No. 13 spot, which matches the highest ranking NC State has ever achieved in the major polls before playing its first game. The 1975 Wolfpack under Lou Holtz came in at No. 13 in the preseason AP Poll of that year. The 2003 Pack will kick off its season Saturday night at home against Western Carolina. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. Airtime on the Wolfpack Radio Network is 5:00.
