Raleigh, N.C. - Sophomore Aaron King led the White squad with a two-goal, one-assist performance in the men's soccer team's Red/White scrimmage held Sunday afternoon at SAS Soccer Stadium. The White team prevailed 3-0 in the contest which consisted of two 35 minute halves. The Red/White scrimmage followed up Saturday's 4-0 exhibition win at VMI, and marks the end of the preseason for the Wolfpack.
King scored the lone goal of the first half after a run down the left sideline. Early in the second half, King found classmate Bryant Salter alone for a breakaway, and Salter made the score 2-0. With just under two minutes to play, King netted the final goal of the contest to make it 3-0.
The Wolfpack will open up the 2003 season by hosting the Adidas Wolfpack Classic. The Wolfpack will take on Georgia Southern Saturday at 2:00 p.m., and then host Liberty on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
