So, you're a diehard NC State fan who follows the Pack both home and away. You have vowed that no matter what it takes you will see the Wolfpack play defending national champion Ohio State in Columbus on September 13th. But like so many other fans you struck out when it came to getting game tickets. What do you do, WHAT DO YOU DO?
Simply pick up a copy of The News & Observer, The Triangle's hometown newspaper. For the N&O will make some fan's year by sending a winner and guest to the big game in its Track the Pack contest. The Grand prize includes game tickets, airfare and accommodations.
"Let's face it, this is the ultimate prize for a Wolfpack fan," commented Felicia Gressette, Vice President of Marketing for the N&O. " We know how badly fans want to see the big game and are glad we can make someone's wish come true."
The N&O's list of prizes isn't limited to the Ohio State game, however. Second prizes include tickets to the "Tailgatin' In the Outback" VIP hospitality event on Oct. 11th when NC State hosts UConn. Following a pre-game meal from Outback Steakhouse, the lucky winners will watch the Pack take on the Huskies.
"This is a great chance for our fans to see the big game in Columbus, plus experience the ultimate tailgate party in Carter-Finley Stadium," said Jerry Reckerd, Wolfpack Sports Marketing General Manager. "We're excited to be teaming up with the N&O on their Track the Pack promotion."
Besides providing award-winning sports coverage, the N&O will also produce a series of special NC State commemorative game-day posters. They will be available on newstands throughout Wake County on the seven dates that NC State plays its home games. They're certain to become collector's items.
