Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2003 semester 210 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 107 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor womens basketball's Jennifer Filipowski and cheerleader Jon Rolle.
Jennifer Filipowski recently completed her first year in action for the NC State Women's Basketball team. Forced to sit out her first year due to injury, the redshirt freshman came back strong for Coach Kay Yow. Jennifer's been strong in the classroom since enrolling at NC State. The Raleigh, North Carolina native has a most impressive 4.0 Total Grade Point Average in Chemical Engineering. Jennifer has also been named to the NC State Dean's List.
Jon Rolle makes his contribution to NC State Athletics as a veteran of the Cheerleading squad. The Junior from Waldorf, Maryland sports a 3.412 Total Grade Point Average. The Business Management major also was named a NC State Scholar Athlete during the 2001-2002 season.
Congratulations to both Jennifer and Jon and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
