Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2003 semester 210 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 107 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor cheerleader Robin Abernathy and Mr. Wuf, Matthew Cumbee.
Robin Abernathy is a senior on the NC State Cheerleading squad. She's had one of the best seats in the house to watch the Pack since coming to the NC State campus. In the classroom Robin has compiled an impressive 3.375 Total Grade Point Average. The Zoology major was also named a 2001-2002 NC State Scholar Athlete.
Matthew Cumbee is another senior on the NC State Cheereleading squad who has helped cheer the Pack on to victory time after time. Matthew has compiled a Total Grade Point Average of 3.668. The Biological Sciences major was also named a NC State Scholar Athlete in 2001-2002 and made the Dean's List in the Fall of 02.
Congratulations to both Robin and Matthew and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
