Hodge Invited to USA Basketball Men's National Team Trials

Raleigh, N.C. - NC State's Julius Hodge has been invited to compete at the 2003 USA Basketball Men's National Team Trials set for May 30-June 1 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Hodge, a forward for the Wolfpack, will be one of 51 players vying for a spot on the 2003 USA Pan American Games Team.
The Trials will held to determine the finalists for the 2003 USA Men's Pan American Games Team. The Pan American Games, held every four years in the year prior to the Olympics, will be held August 1-17 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The men's basketball competition is slated for August 2-6. The field of teams in men's basketball, which will include teams from eight nations, is not yet known.
Hodge was a 2003 first-team All-ACC choice this past season for NC State. He received the second highest total and was the only non-senior on the squad. Hodge was also a first-team All-ACC Tournament selection as he recorded four career-highs during the three-day stint, including 31 points in the semifinal versus Wake Forest and 12 rebounds in the final against Duke. He led the Wolfpack with 17.7 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game.
