Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2002 semester 210 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 107 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor women's golf team member Margaux Hennessey and track & field team member Andrew Kerins.
Margaux Hennessey |
Margaux Hennessey is a junior on the NC State women's golf team. The native of St. Louis, Missouri saw limited action for the Pack during the 2002 year, but is a key veteran on this year's squad. She may shoot low scores on the golfcourse, but Margaux has put up high numbers in the classroom. She carries a 3.773 Total Grade Point Average in Business Management. She was also a member of the ACC Honor Roll during the 2001-2002 year.
Andrew Kerins |
Andrew Kerins is a key contributor to the NC State men's track team. The senior from Greenville, North Carolina specializes in the middle distance events. In the classroom the Parks, Recreation and Tourism major sports a 3.543 Total Grade Point Average. He's also been a member of the ACC Honor Roll for three years, a NC State Scholar Athlete for seven semesters and has made the Dean's List six semesters.
Congratulations to both Margaux and Andrew and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
