Wolfpack Blitz Set to Begin March 31st

Approximately 80 student-athletes will take a break from the field March 31st -April 4th and hit the elementary school classrooms as part of the athletics department's 6th annual Wolfpack Blitz. Local grade schools will be invaded by student-athletes who will speak to audiences ranging from 20-100 students.
Many of the student-athletes will be grouped together to deliver messages dealing with topics such as respect, perseverance, and courage; cooperation and responsibility; self-discipline and the importance of education and character education to meet goals.
Players including football's Danny Young and Freddie Aughtry-Lindsay, women's basketball's Kaayla Chones and Liz Bailey, men's basketball's Julius Hodge and Josh Powell and women's cross country's Diana Henderson and Megan Coombs will converse with the students for about an hour and will answer any questions from the audience.
This year 21 elementary schools will be blitzed including Olive Chapel, Pleasant Union, Combs, Olds and Farmington Woods.
