Divers Complete Day One at NCAA Zone B Championships

Auburn, Ala. - NC State divers competed in the first day of action at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships on Friday, in Auburn, Alabama. Four divers competed in the preliminary action, with one qualifying for the evening's finals. Molly Culberson was the highest finisher of the day for the Wolfpack. The All-ACC selection finished 11th on the three-meter springboard in her first regional competition. The freshman scored a mark of 471.20.
Teammates Erin Bailey and Amber O'Reilly finished 19th and 29th respectively. Bailey barely missed the 18-person finals cut with a score of 257.95. O'Reilly scored 244.20.
TJ Ferguson finished 29th in the men's one-meter competition with a score of 210.90.
Action will continue Saturday with the women taking the one-meter board at 10:30 a.m., and the men beginning preliminaries at 3:30 p.m. Platform diving will be held on Sunday. Auburn will provide a live scoreboard.
