Joe Gaetti Named ACC Player of the Week

NC State's Joe Gaetti was named this week's Atlantic Coast Conference baseball player of the week by a panel of writers and broadcasters affiliated with the College Baseball Writers Association of America.
A junior from Raleigh, Gaetti batted .476 (10-21) with two doubles, four homers, seven RBI and six stolen bases in as many attempts in NC State's five wins last week. The outfielder's on-base percentage for the week was .542 and his slugging percentage was 1.143.
Gaetti had one of the biggest nights of his career on March 8 in a doubleheader vs. Marshall. In the first game, he went 3-for-5 with a double, two home runs, a stolen base and four RBIs. In the second game, he went 2-for-4 with a homer, a steal and an RBI.
For the season, Gaetti is hitting .317 with seven home runs, 23 RBIs and eight stolen bases, leading the team in each of those statistical categories.
