Brown and Hoffman Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2003 semester 210 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 107 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor women's track Kelly Brown and men's swimming Seth Hoffman.
 
Kelly Brown |
Kelly Brown is a sophomore on the NC State women's track team. Kelly comes to Raleigh from Fort Lewis, Washington. She carries a 3.91 Total Grade Point Average in her First Year College major. Kelly has also been on the NC State Dean's List twice and has also been selected to the ACC Honor Roll.
Seth Hoffman |
Seth Hoffman is a key veteran on the NC State men's swimming team and specializes in the distance events for the Wolfpack. The sophomore from Cary, North Carolina also excels in the classroom. The Engineering major carries a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average. Seth has also made the ACC Honor Roll and been on the Dean's List every semester while at NC State.
Congratulations to both Kelly and Seth and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
