On Jan. 21st, the women's basketball team went to Vance County to talk with 5th grade girls about the importance of playing sports and staying physically fit as part of the women's basketball G-WIS program. The team split into two groups and visited two different central sites. The first site was Aycock Elementary where they spoke with girls from Carver, Clark Street, Pinkston Street, LB Vance, Zeb Vance and Aycock Elementaries. The second group went to Dabney Elementary to speak to New Hope, EM Rollins, EO Young and Dabney Elementaries.
Seen in these two photos are Assistant coach Charisse Mapp and players, Rachel Stockdale, Terah James, Carisse Moody, Nanna Rivers, Alvine Mendeng, Amelia Labador and Billie McDowell.
All of the schools in attendance will be in the crowd when NC State hosts Florida State on Feb. 9.
