The women's team (1-2, 1-1) has found much-needed speed in sprint freestyler Rebecca Perry. She is undefeated in the 50 and 100 free events this season. She is currently the fastest freshman in the conference, and ranks third and fourth in the 50 and 100 free events this season. Freshmen Kerry Whitson and Amy Baskwell are performing well in the mid-distance events. Whiston is listed as the conference's 12th-fastest woman in the 200 free, and Baskwell and Whitson are both ranked in the top 20 in the 500 free.
Jessica Koenig has recently come on strong. In her last outing she took wins in the 200 back and 200 IM with times that currently rank in the conference's top 20, including 13th in the 200 back and an impressive eighth in the IM. Laura Cutler is ranks sixth in the 200 butterfly.
