Raleigh, N.C.-On Saturday, NC State head basketball coach Herb Sendek will put his 2003-04 squad through its first official team practices of the season. But as he focuses on the immediate future, Sendek is also keeping an appreciative eye on the past. His keen awareness of the importance of Wolfpack basketball tradition will be on display when he brings former players, coaches and managers back to Raleigh for the Red&White game at the RBC Center on November 1st.
With its two national championships and impact on the early days of the ACC, NC State basketball obviously owns a special place in the annals of college hoops. Sendek hopes to honor those who have contributed to the colorful history of the program he now oversees.
Along with being a part of a reception held in their honor on the weekend of November 1st, the former players, coaches and managers will attend a morning practice before being recognized at both the Red&White game and the football game against Virginia later that day.
The time of the Red&White game will be determined once a game time is announced for the football game early next week.
For any former NC State players, coaches or managers who would like to take part in the festivities, you're asked to contact either Sharon or Bev at the basketball office.
