Wolfpack Hosts Terrapins in Home Opener

NC State wastes no time diving into Atlantic Coast Conference action, as the Pack hosts the Terps in dual meet action Saturday, October 18. The meet will be the season opener for both squads, and will mark the third consecutive year that the Wolfpack has opened up its season at home in the Casey Aquatics Center. Action will begin at 11 a.m., and admission is free to the public.
Last season, the Wolfpack men added its third win of the season against Maryland in College Park, and the women took their first defeat.
NC State returns two All-ACC honorees from last year's squad in diver Molly Culberson and backstroker Steven Cowling. Culberson took a third place finish on the three-meter board after breaking the school's three-meter record during the regular season. Cowling returns as the league's fastest backstroker. He qualified in the top position at the conference meet a year ago to enter the finals seeded at No. 1 with a time of 48.64, and leads one of the league's best 200 medley relay teams.
