Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2003 semester 210 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 107 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor cross country's Leslie Jimison and track's Phillip Stafford.
Leslie Jimison |
Leslie Jimison is a sophomore standout on the NC State women's cross country team. The Greensboro, NC native has also distinguished herself in the classroom. Leslie carries a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average in Materials Engineering. She's also been on the Dean's List every semester while at NC State, and was also named to the ACC Honor Roll.
Phillip Stafford |
Phillip Stafford returns for his sophomore season on the NC State men's track team. Since coming to State from his native Concord, NC, Phillip has compiled a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average. The Computer Engineering major was also named to the ACC Honor Roll and has been on the Dean's List every semester while at NC State.
Congratulations to both Leslie and Phillip and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
