ACC DEFENSIVE BACK OF THE WEEK
NC State outside linebacker Freddie Aughtry-Lindsay (High Point, N.C.) scored two defensive touchdowns to lead the Wolfpack to a 31-24 win over Connecticut. The 6-1, 224-pound junior scored his first touchdown in the third quarter on a 48-yard fumble return. His second came with five seconds remaining in the game and the scored tied at 24-24. Aughtry-Lindsay intercepted a pass and scampered 56-yards for the game-winning touchdown with just five seconds left. He also accumulated four tackles (two solo) and a pass breakup against the Huskies.
"That was the game of my college career," said Aughtry-Lindsay, who scored the first two touchdowns of his career in the same game. "I was used to doing things like that in high school, it just hadn't happened here."
