Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2003 semester 210 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 107 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor cross country's Jessica Durant and football's William Lee.
Jessica Durant returns to the NC State women's cross country team after redshirting her freshman year. The Hendersonville, North Carolina native achieved a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average her first year on campus. The Biological Sciences major also made the NC State Dean's List both semesters and was also named to the ACC Honor Roll.
William Lee handles the long-snapping duties on the NC State football team. The sophomore from Fuquay-Varina is also right on target in the classroom. William posted a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average his freshman year at State while majoring in Mechanical Engineering. William was also a member of the ACC Honor Roll and made the Dean's List both semesters at NC State.
Congratulations to both Jessica and William and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
Caterpillar and NC State ... partnering to make progress possible.
