Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2002 semester 192 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 99 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Sophomore women's volleyball team member, Sarah Ensminger and Sophomore men's basketball player, Levi Watkins.

Sarah Ensminger's freshman year was one to remember. The Cincinnati, Ohio native play in all 27 matches for the NC State women's volleyball team. She also made the most of her time in the classroom. Sarah scored with a 3.578 Total Grade Point Average. A major in Graphic Design, she was also a Caterpillar Scholar Athlete and made the Dean's List in the Spring of 2002.

Levi Watkins didn't' let tragedy on the basketball court ruin his freshman year. Despite a season ending injury in the ACC opener, Watkins made the most of his first year at State with an impressive showing in the classroom. The Rockville, Maryland native compiled a Total Grade Point Average of 3.212. The Business Management major was also a member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll, ACC Honor Roll and a Caterpillar Scholar Athlete.
