Colmer and Herbert Named to 2002 All-ACC Academic Team

Raleigh, N.C. - Chris Colmer and Austin Herbert earned spots on the 2002 Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic football team as announced by Commissioner John Swofford this afternoon. To be eligible, a player must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the fall semester or have maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
Colmer, a junior offensive tackle from Port Jefferson, N.Y., posted a GPA of 3.25 in technology education. Colmer started all 14 games this past season, and was named a second-team All-ACC choice and a fourth-team All-American by the Sporting News.
Herbert, a junior kicker from Cary, N.C., posted a GPA of 3.67 in business management. Herbert handled all of the Wolfpack punting duties this season, and also a majority of the placekicking duties as well.
