NCSU Rifle Defeats Wofford, Finishes Behind Citadel

Ft. Benning, Ga.- Coach Keith Miller anticipated a strong season for his rifle program heading into the first match of the season this past weekend. Miller, who has been the rifle coach since 1990, was pleased with the showing of his team.
"We shot fairly well and it was a good match," Miller said. "The Citadel had a strong performance, but we think that we can catch up to them during the remaining matches of the fall semester."
The strong performance by the Citadel (1493) was closely followed by the Wolfpack shooters who fired a gross of 1449. Wofford finished third in the three team event with a team score of 1054.
The Wolfpack next lines up at the VMI Invitational in Lexington, Va. on October 5th.
