Now 5-0 for the first time since the 1991 season, NC State moved up one spot to 15th in this week's new ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. The Wolfpack survived a furious rally by Texas Tech on Saturday and went on to defeat the Red Raiders in overtime, 51-48. The 2002 Pack is just the 8th team in school history to win its first five games to open a season. NC State will return home for a non-conference meeting with Massachusetts Saturday afternoon at Carter-Finley Stadium. Game time is 1:00 p.m.
