Raleigh, N.C. - For the second straight year, NC State has sold out of football season tickets, setting a new school record with over 31,500 tickets sold for the 2002 campaign. NC State has now set school records for season ticket sales for four consecutive years.
In addition, five of the Pack's seven home games for 2002 are completely sold out. Single game tickets remain for the BCA Bowl matchup with New Mexico for $35. Georgia Tech returned some of their ticket allotment for the Wolfpack's November 2 homecoming game, so a limited number of those tickets are also available for $28.
"Once again, we are overwhelmed by the amount of support our fans are giving to us," said Director of Athletics Lee Fowler. "In the next few years, we will play some of the nation's top programs, such as Tennessee, Notre Dame and Ohio State. The commitment and support of the Wolfpack fans will help us reach the level of those teams, which sell out their stadiums season after season."
"Coach Amato and his staff have done a great job creating excitement on the field and our fans have done a great job creating excitement in the stands. That combination should make the 2002 season one to remember at NC State."
