Jimison and Coffield Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields.
Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2001 semester, 228 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 109 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Sophomore women's track team member, Leslie Jimison and Sophomore men's baseball player, Tim Coffield.

Leslie Jimison, a sophomore from Greensboro is a distance runner on the women's track team. Leslie strives to achieve on the track as well as the classroom. Her major is Engineering where she holds a Total Grade Point Average of 4.00. She is a great representative of NC State.

Tim Coffield is also a sophomore from Matthews, North Carolina. Tim plays on the NC State baseball team. He is in first year college and has strives to achieve academically with a Total Grade Point Average of 3.90.
Congratulations to both Leslie and Tim and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
