Jassawalla and Watson Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields.
Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2001 semester, 228 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 109 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Sophomore women's tennis player, Jennifer Jassawalla and Senior men's soccer player, Mitchell Watson.

Jennifer Jassawalla, a sophomore from Houston, Texas,is on the women's tennis team.Jennifer strives to achieve in the classroom. Her major is Biological Engineering. She currently holds a Total Grade Point Average of 3.83. She is a great representative of NC State.

Mitchell Watson is a senior from Modesto, California. He is the goalkeeper on the NC State men's soccer team and majors in Accounting. He currently ranks fourth in NC State history with 305 career saves. Mitchell also strives to achieve academically with a Total Grade Point Average of 3.82.
Congratulations to both Jennifer and Mitchell and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
