Former Pack QB Joins Chargers

Raleigh, N.C.-Darrell Moody, a former quarterback at NC State and longtime assistant coach at several ACC schools, as been hired by the San Diego Chargers as a college scout. He will be responsible for scouting college players in the southeastern region of the United States.
With a degree and economics and a Master's in vocational education, Moody concluded his playing career with the Wolfpack in 1970. The Asheboro native returned to his alma mater as a graduate assistant from 1973-74, a stint that would eventually lead to two different coaching stops at North Carolina and another at Clemson. He was NC State's wide receivers coach in 1997.
Moody's nephew, Craig, currently plays football and baseball for the Wolfpack.
