Collins and Vanderbeke Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields.
Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2001 semester, 228 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 109 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Junior women's track team member, Kimberly Collins and Senior women's swim team member, Nicole Vanderbeke.

Kimberly Collins, a junior from Raleigh,is on the women's track team. Kimberly's main event is the Pole Vault. Kimberly strives to achieve in the classroom. Her major is BioChemistry. She currently holds a perfect Total Grade Point Average of 4.00. She is a great representative of NC State.

Nicole Vanderbeke is a senior from Lincolnshire,Illinois. She is a diver on the NC State women's swim team and majors in Civil Engineering. Nicole also strives to achieve academically with a perfect Total Grade Point Average of 4.00.
Congratulations to both Kimberly and Nicole and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
