Women's Golf Makes First NCAA Appearance on Thursday

Thursday will be an historic day for the NC State women's golf team, which will be making its first NCAA appearance when it opens play in the NCAA East Regional at the University Club in Baton Rouge, LA.
Led by ACC Coach of the Year Page Marsh, the five players competing for the Wolfpack have been assigned a block of tee times between 12:40 p.m. and 1:20.
Before finishing third in the ACC Championships last month, the Wolfpack posted three consecutive tournament victories during the month of March. NC State's sudden rise in the ACC is stunning, given the fact that the program was only reinstated two years ago after being dropped in 1986.
